Mouse Removal

Mice are a common pests in residential structures. The house mouse is 3-4 inches long with a small, slender frame and a 2-4 inch tail.

Mice emit high pitched squeaks and can be quite loud when moving above ceilings and in walls. Mice damage insulation in walls, contaminate food, chew through wires, and destroy landscapes. They are active year round and should be controlled as soon as possible

Signs You Have Rats

When looking for mice, check for quarter size to half-dollar size holes in your attic insulation. Mice will also leave tiny black droppings, no longer than a grain of rice. If there is white in the fecal matter, it is from a bird or reptile.

Prevention

Avoid mice by keeping your home clean, storing food with tight lids (including pet food and bird seed), eliminating cover and debris around the home, including trash, piles of sticks, and tall grass.

Removal

Mice are removed through trapping, rodent proof exclusion, and toxicants.  Mice can squeeze through holes not much larger than a quarter inch, taking on a mouse problem can be a daunting task especially if many holes need to be sealed.

At First Response Wildlife Removal, we utilize three measures for the control of mice:

  • Trapping

  • Exclusion (sealing holes that are entry points)

  • Toxicant (baiting).  Give us a call today to get rid of your mouse problem.
