Opossum Removal
Opossums are the only marsupial in North America.
Opossums are about the size of a house cat with a rat-like hairless tail. Their fur can be snow white or jet black. When threatened, opossums can emit a variety of sounds: hissing, growling, screeching, and baring their teeth. Opossums are omnivores and will eat everything from fruits, vegetables, small animals, worms, and other insects. They are considered beneficial because they feed on insects, mice, and rats. If you have a rat or mouse problem, opossums are good to have around.
Signs You Have A Opossum
Opossums can be solitary or nomadic, and will often take up residency in an attic or crawl space. Look for fecal matter the size of a cat’s droppings in these areas.
Prevention and Removal
To avoid drawing opossums in, remove pet food and compost from the outside of the house, and close hatches on crawl spaces. If problems still arise, give First Response Wildlife Removal a call, one of our experts will be happy to assist you.
